WEVSIG Objectives
1. Improve knowledge & expertise related to wildlife veterinary medicine, zoos, wildlife conservation centers, aquariums and exotic animals.
2. Promote the welfare of wildlife, aquatic and exotic animals in zoos, wildlife conservation centers, aquariums and private clinics.
3. Strive for the conservation of wildlife, aquatic and exotic animals in zoos, wildlife conservation centers, aquariums and private clinics.
4. Establish cooperation between veterinary medical associations and wildlife conservation associations and related agencies.
5. Encourage the sharing of information and ideas between veterinarians involved in zoo medicine, centers for wildlife conservation, aquariums and centers for exotic animals through writing, conferences, seminars, courses, training and other programs with government agencies and schools.
6. Foster unity among veterinary medicine professionals while adhering to the ethical and professional guidelines drawn up by the corporation of state veterinary medical practitioners.
